Christmas Baking!

Yesterday we were busy baking cookies.. I hope your child was kind enough to share their tasty treats!
Even Flash was into baking-- or at least he tried.....

Tea Party

Today we had a tea party because our printing and presentation has improved. We got to taste cupcakes, cookies and cheezies. We wetted our whistle with chocolate milk in tea cups!

Elf on a Shelf

When December 1st arrived we received a surprise.... an Elf. We read a book that explained what he will be doing in our classroom and how he will report back to Santa. We had a class vote and we decided on Flash as his name. Check out one of the places he has been found in our classroom....

Math in 2/3 K

Sorry for the lack of posting so get ready for loads of information!
The end of November was busy with portfolio preparation and our class reward party.

We have also been busy in math as of late. The grade 3's have been introduced to division and multiplication. The grade 2's have been working very hard at mastering their math facts with speed. Thank you for helping your child practise the facts that have been sent home.

The grade three's have learnt how to multiply by groups of, arrays and on an empty number line.

For division they have learnt how to divide by grouping and sharing.
